Hello! We are entering a very exciting time here on the farm. We are harvesting a lot of goodies from the garden. I am about ready to can up a batch or 2 of dill beans. These are family favorites, but no one like our son!
We also are 6 weeks away from our son’s wedding. It is such an exciting time! He has come a long way!
We only planted a smallish garden this year to see how the soil was. We are thrilled that it has produced a lot! We have freezer bags full of tomatoes and peppers. I still have more to pick.
These are just a few of the tomatoes we got. I will be turning them into sauce!
My biggest thrill is growing our own sweet corn!!! There is nothing like going out and picking our supper! Boy, was it delicious!
That brings me to the most exciting time! Our first breeding season with this handsome guy! This is Jethro, our ram, that is going to help give us lambs!
Here is my Babbitty Bumble! She is just the sweetest! I can’t wait to see her babies! I just get so giddy thinking about it.
Our other ewe, Henny Penny! We really lucked out with our girls, and even rams! They all have sweet personalities. We also have 2 ewes that are a clun finn mix that we will breed also.
Also, this coming week, construction begins on our barn!! I am excited to plan out where I want stuff. Especially where my milking area will be! This is such a dream come true!
